Empirix launched RAN Vision, an intuitive, real-time, network-wide solution to enable prompt detection and accurate diagnosis of problems in both 3G and 4G radio environments as well provide insights into the end-to-end customer experience.
Mobile operators can now leverage a single platform for monitoring, troubleshooting and analyzing information from the core to the RAN. These new capabilities will give these operators the unprecedented ability to manage their networks based on their customers’ experience and network performance.
The RAN Vision solution dramatically reduces the need for drive testing while substantially improving the visibility of the performance of the radio access network by providing insight into all of the subscribers in real time. RAN Vision reduces radio engineers’ workload by decreasing the time required to solve problems from hours to minutes with prompt and accurate identification of the root causes of call drops, call setup failures, handover failures and poor throughput. With RAN Vision, every subscriber call or session in 3G and 4G radio environments can be rapidly analyzed to quickly identify issues.
“The RAN Vision solution delivers a comprehensive set of analytics and troubleshooting features that enables mobile operators to focus on improving network quality and subscriber experience,” said Anil Rao, senior analyst at Analysys Mason.
