BMC Software and Red Hat Expand Partnership
Offering Customer Choice in Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and Management

To provide customers with added choice for virtualization and cloud-based solutions, BMC Software and Red Hat announced an expanded partnership, including plans to deliver a comprehensive cloud architecture combining solutions from both technology leaders.

The solution will offer a tightly integrated and optimized turnkey platform that will include the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management solution running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager.

In addition both companies intend to work together on integrations that would include the newly announced Red Hat CloudForms, based on the Deltacloud API.

This expanded relationship will enable customers to benefit from a fully managed end-to-end cloud infrastructure, beginning with the initial service request and continuing through provisioning, deployment, management and decommissioning. Automated processes made possible by BMC’s Dynamic Business Service Management (BSM) suite will save time and money, reduce compliance risk and help IT organizations stay focused on meeting the needs of the business.

The combined architecture is expected to be available to customers later this year.
