Posting Your Company News on APMdigest
Here are a couple more tips related to posting your PR on APMdigest:
■ For press releases, please send a link to the PR on the day of the announcement to Pete Goldin. This is the best way to ensure your news is posted, assuming it meets APMdigest guidelines.
■ APMdigest prefers not to receive embargoed press releases. If you send a press release prior to the day of release, there is less of a chance the news will be posted in a timely manner.
■ APMdigest does not do "briefings" on new products or other news, but we will cover your new product announcement or other news in our Industry News section if it applies to APM or one of the other markets we cover, and meets our guidelines for the type of announcements we cover. No need to set up a briefing, just send the press release.
■ Send any PR, news or blog submission ideas to Pete Goldin. We read every email. If APMdigest is interested in posting your content, we will definitely get back to you. If you do not hear back from us, we are not ignoring you — it simply means that particular content is not the right fit for APMdigest. Unfortunately we get so many requests to post content, we do not always have the ability to respond with a "no thanks."
■ If a press release is about a study or survey relevant to APM or the related markets covered by APMdigest, this content would not be posted in our Industry News section. It would be posted as a blog in our Vendor Forum under a byline from your company or client. Click here to read guidelines for setting up a blogging account and contributing to our Vendor Forum blog. APMdigest is very interested in this type of content.
■ If a press release or other announcement is from a sponsor of APMdigest, we include links to the company home page at the end of the post, as well as other links that relate to the news. We also include a clickable copy of the sponsor's ad and logo embedded within the post.
■ If a press release or other announcement is from a company that is not a sponsor of APMdigest, no links are included with the post.
■ APMdigest does not post press release text verbatim in our Industry News section. Most press releases are edited prior to posting, to meet APMdigest guidelines. For example, the following are usually removed from the post: claims to be the leader in the market or first to market or unique in the market; overly promotional or hyperbolic text; quotes from executives stating they are excited or delighted about the announcement; boilerplate company profiles or product descriptions; references to previous news announcements; most quotes from and references to customers; product pricing; any hyperlinks.
