Riverbed Technology's SteelCentralUCExpert 5.0 is compliant with key unified communication solutions from Avaya.
UCExpert 5.0 helps ensure the performance of business-critical VoIP communications and identifies problems before users notice, reducing downtime through proactive management of a company’s UC environment. It is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura Communication Manager 6.3 and Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services 6.3.
Using automated testing with actual phones, configuration management, and remote troubleshooting, Riverbed supports the entire UC lifecycle for Avaya deployments without requiring end-user involvement.
“Organizations are consuming a lot of resources to deploy enterprise unified communications platforms and successful deployment is measured against the quality of the end user experience. UCExpert 5.0 helps to ensure successful deployments and to alleviate any unforeseen performance issues, which can reduce productivity and ROI by providing the information necessary to understand the scope and root cause,” said Nik Koutsoukos, Senior Director Product Marketing, SteelCentral. “SteelCentral UCExpert 5.0 enables organizations to reduce costs, improve productivity, and proactively manage the complete lifecycle – deployment, change, and ongoing management – of their unified communications environment.”
“By completing compliance testing, Riverbed gives Avaya customers access to the latest innovations that can help them maintain optimal performance for their business-critical VoIP communications tools,” said Eric Rossman, VP, Developer Relations, Avaya. “Technology Partners like Riverbed help customers easily and cost-effectively incorporate new technology into their business, and uncover new possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure.”
Riverbed is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program — an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network. As a Technology Partner, Riverbed is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure — speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
