SOASTA announced the appointment of Ann Sung Ruckstuhl as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

As CMO, Ruckstuhl will oversee global marketing and communications at SOASTA, including demand generation and lead-to-revenue pipeline management. Her unique blend of engineering and business acumen makes her a perfect match for SOASTA’s growing leadership in application performance management.

Ruckstuhl has held senior global executive positions at such industry leaders as Symantec, Sybase (acquired by SAP), eBay, HP and most recently as CMO of LiveOps. In these roles, she has led some of the most successful innovations in software as a service (SaaS), cloud computing, cybersecurity, mobile application development, big data, analytics, digital payments, e‐commerce and distributed IT infrastructure. She has been a leading advocate for Customer Experience Management and Consumerization of IT, making information access and business transactions ubiquitous, fast, easy and secure.

“We at SOASTA passionately believe that performance is everything when it comes to a company’s success,” said Tom Lounibos, CEO. “Ann’s customer‐centric focus combined with her front‐line experience across the disruptive technologies that define performance make her a perfect fit to help take SOASTA to our next level. She has a keen understanding of what motivates consumers in today’s digital environment that closely matches the vision and purpose of our leadership team — and indeed everyone in our company. We’re delighted that she has chosen to join us.”

“SOASTA’s vision and technology are transforming the application performance industry,” said Ruckstuhl. “Today’s mobile and hyper‐connected consumers demand websites and mobile applications that are fast, reliable and easy to use. As businesses rely on web and mobile applications for direct revenue generation, performance and user experience are no longer nice-to-haves but must-haves. I am very happy to join the SOASTA team and welcome the opportunity to help SOASTA become recognized as the clear leader. I am looking forward to help drive broader awareness and adoption of the SOASTA performance analytics platform.”

Ruckstuhl began her career at HP and received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and her MBA from the University of Florida.
