Wipro Technologies Partners with Splunk

Splunk announced a global reseller agreement with Wipro Technologies.

The alliance continues the efforts by Wipro and Splunk to bring operational intelligence to customers across the globe. Wipro has already implemented Splunk software at dozens of customer sites including several big data enterprise projects in North America, Europe and India.

"Splunk software is a cornerstone technology for Wipro customers who realize they need to effectively leverage their machine data to gain a competitive advantage," said Dr. Anurag Srivastava, chief technology officer and senior vice president, Wipro Technologies. "Our customers often first turn to Splunk for 'core IT' but rapidly discover the types of valuable insights they obtain for IT and across the business. These early successes in IT often lead to increasingly larger projects in areas such as application monitoring, security and compliance, IT operations, web intelligence and business analytics."

Under the new agreement, Wipro will resell Splunk software to its enterprise customers in industry sectors it serves including energy and utilities, financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and telecommunications.

Wipro's Splunk competency center works directly with clients to develop solutions and deliver business value with Splunk's platform for machine data.

"Wipro's alliance with Splunk further extends our leadership as an enterprise data platform," said Bill Gaylord, senior vice president of business development, Splunk. "Wipro is one of the world's foremost information technology companies and recognizes that machine-generated big data is an opportunity for its customers to gain new insights into their operations. Wipro is behind several of the largest implementations of our software for a reason: Wipro understands the impact operational intelligence has for enterprises and has seen the difference Splunk software makes first-hand."

As part of the agreement, Splunk software will also be showcased in the solution center at Wipro's headquarters in Bangalore, India.
