Big Data is quickly becoming one of the greatest challenges facing APM today.
In an APMdigest article, Big IT Data = Big Application Management Challenge, Netuitive CEO Nicola Sanna explained, "Large application services such as online banking, global reservation systems, and wireless messaging generate massive amounts of data which Gartner estimates has increased by 300% during the past four years. This includes data generated from application monitoring tools and a plethora of legacy infrastructure monitoring tools for everything from servers, to databases, to web servers and firewalls ... The largest solutions generate millions, and in some cases even billions, of disparate IT performance and application data."
