ASG Supports CICS TS for z/OS Version 5.1

ASG Software Solutions (ASG) announced the enhancement of several ASG Performance Management and other products to provide support for IBM’s CICS Transaction Server (TS) for z/OS® Version 5.1, which was be released by IBM on December 14, 2012.

These products include ASG-TMON for CICS TS for z/OS and ASG-TMON Change Manager for CICS TS.

z/OS is a cost-effective, secure and an adaptable platform for Cloud applications, and IBM’s continued improvements in Operation efficiencies and Service Availability in CICS TS V5.1 complements ASG’s support for customers’ business-critical applications.

“In the CICS TS sector we have seen continued growth in the number of customers Cloud-enabling applications, as it is both cost-effective and efficient,” said ASG Director of Product Management of Performance Management solutions, Gary Henderson. “ASG expects customers to take full advantage of new technologies in CICS Transaction Server V5.1, and ASG is committed to keeping its solutions current to provide important new functionality and maximize customer’s return on software investments. Among the products that will support the CICS TS V5.1 release, ASG-TMON for CICS TS for z/OS monitors and manages the performance of business-critical systems and applications, lowering total cost of ownership and providing one of the most integrated, easy-to-use solutions on the market. ASG-TMON Change Manager for CICS TS provides automated and secure management of CICS System Definition (CSD, CP/SM) changes.
