CA Technologies Plans Same Day Support for IBM DB2 11 for z/OS

As part of its commitment to customers to deliver same-day support for IBM mainframe solutions, CA Technologies will include support for the forthcoming IBM DB2 11 for z/OS (DB2 11) in the next release of its CA Database Management Solutions.

Customers and prospects will be able to beta test the CA Technologies software in March 2013 as IBM introduces DB2 11 to select customers in an Early Support Program.

“As an IBM development partner, we are committed to supporting IBM mainframe advancements, including the widely-installed IBM DB2 for z/OS technology,” said Mark Combs, distinguished senior vice president, Mainframe, CA Technologies. “As IBM drives increased value for customers helping them save time and money with DB2 11 for z/OS, CA Technologies will be there to support the new technology with our next release of CA Database Management Solutions.”

In addition, as customers upgrade to IBM DB2 11 for z/OS, CA Technologies award-winning CA Mainframe Chorus will help customers realize rapid time-to-value by providing a modern, intuitive workspace for next-generation mainframe database management.
