Centina Systems Supports Management of Viptela SD-WAN Solution

Centina Systems' vSure SDN/NFV assurance platform has been integrated with Viptela’s SD-WAN technology.

The integration of these two solutions enables enterprises and service providers to visualize and monitor SD-WAN services from a single console.

SD-WAN offers a compelling business case and is quickly becoming a significant disruptive growth engine for managed service providers and enterprises alike. The Viptela SEN (Secure Extensible Network) platform allows large enterprise customers the flexibility to manage multiple disparate WAN transport networks such as MPLS, Internet broadband, Ethernet and wireless LTE/4G while meeting application performance requirements across geographic locations, bandwidths and domains. The Viptela solution provides the industry’s most scalable SD-WAN networks delivering leading functionality such as zero touch capabilities, Application Aware Routing, secure segmentation, unparalleled ease of use for configuration changes and full routing functionality for enterprise networks.

Centina Systems’ vSure offers an off-the-shelf integration to Viptela’s vManage NMS and vEdge routers. This enables customers to very quickly deploy and manage the Viptela solution, giving them a service level view of both fault and performance metrics across the Viptela network.

The vSure solution offers the following benefits:

- Visibility of SD-WAN services from Viptela and other infrastructure

- Service overlays and supporting underlay infrastructure

- Manage service grading of SD-WAN and MPLS circuits

- Fault correlation and isolation of service level issues for pro-active issue resolution

- SLA conformance

- Automate problem notification for resolution

“SD-WAN is becoming a very prevalent service offering and Viptela is clearly a leader in this space,” said Anand Gonuguntla, CEO and Co-founder of Centina Systems. “As our customers deploy SD–WAN, they need an assurance solution that gives them the ability to manage the entire network, including the SD-WAN, to be able to identify and troubleshoot issues regardless of where they occur, and be able to correlate those issues back to the impacted customers at the service level. Our vSure platform not only meets this need but also positions customers for the deployment of additional virtualized services with its ability to assure NFV environments.”

“Integrating Viptela’s platform and Centina’s vSure enables service providers and enterprises to monitor their SD-WAN infrastructure” said Ramesh Prabagaran, VP of Product Management & Marketing for Viptela. “This partnership provides customers the visibility and agility they need to quickly identify and remediate problems before they can impact network and infrastructure performance and business operations. We chose to partner with Centina because it is a leader in providing strategic and innovative service assurance solutions while continuing to expand its virtualized network capabilities.”
