Plixer International, Inc. a Cisco Developer Partner, announced its network monitoring solution, Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer, successfully completed Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) to acquire Cisco Application Visibility and Control (AVC) certification.

This recognition demonstrates Plixer's leadership in the NetFlow and IPFIX community and their innovation in leveraging flow technology to monitor and secure networks.

"We were delighted to be selected for this certification process. These new AVC metrics set a higher bar in quality flow details and demonstrate Cisco's commitment to the new NetFlow standard called IPFIX," said Erik Peterson, Director of Engineering, Cisco.

The AVC interoperability verification tests focused on how well Scrutinizer interpreted the new metrics exported by the Cisco routers using IPFIX. IPFIX is the recently accepted IETF standard for NetFlow.

"This is a huge win for our customers as they gain tremendously from advanced flow details such as Application Round Trip Time, NBAR, packet loss, retransmits, jitter, HTTP host and dozens of other great elements," said Michael Patterson, CEO, Founder, Plixer International, Inc.

The newest release of Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer, version 11.0.2, comes with several key features to enhance support for Cisco's Application Visibility and Control (AVC).
