Concurrent Introduces Driven APM Product for Big Data Applications

Concurrent announced the general availability of Driven, an Application Performance Management product for data-centric applications.

Driven is purpose-built to address the pain points of enterprise application development and application performance management to organizations who need to deliver operational excellence, enabling businesses to make the most from their data.

Unveiled in early February as a beta, Driven gives developers and operators unmatched visibility into their data applications in real-time, so that they can isolate, manage and resolve problems immediately to accelerate application development. The end results are stable, highly reliable applications that enterprises can depend on to deliver against their data strategies. Driven is designed to give developers and operators a 10x boost in productivity across the application lifecycle.

With Driven, enterprises can now gain comprehensive visibility across their data-centric applications and have the ability to:

- Visualize data applications in real-time

- Diagnose application failures immediately

- Optimize for application performance

- Collaborate in teams across the same applications

- Track application history

Driven is a free service on cascading.io and is licensable for production use as an annual subscription. Driven is easily enabled through a plugin, which collects runtime data directly from any Cascading application. Cascading is the platform of choice for the development and deployment of Big Data applications with more than 150,000 monthly downloads and 7,000 deployments. Together, Cascading and Driven deliver a one-two punch to knock out the complexity in Big Data application development.
