Derdack Introduces Drag & Drop Alarm Management

With Service Release 4 for Enterprise Alert, Derdack presents drag & drop management of business-critical alarms.

The all-new alert center of the product enables operators of manufacturing plants, data centers and other critical infrastructures to consolidate and to manage alarms from multiple systems via drag & drop.

Operators can change the alarm status, severity, assign alarms to teams and trigger automated notification workflows.

This new approach provides convenience and saves precious time when it really matters – i.e. in the most critical situations.

Service Release 4 is free of charge for all Enterprise Alert 2012 customers and adds a wide range of other enhancements and new features, as well:

- Automated batting order for alert notifications to teams (auto-rotation of the escalation order)

- Delayed alarms supporting auto-recovery of external alerts

- Delaying notifications to working hours for less critical alerts

- Enhanced support for US text (email-based text submission)

- Free definition of contact address, e.g. additional phone numbers or email addresses

- Enhanced support for alert severity including the 1:1 take-over of alert severities from 3rd party systems

- Phone number formatting, e.g. to encode and use location information for voice calls

- Ability to add entire teams to subscription feeds

- Alert email if events go unhandled by existing alert policies

- SNMP Trap Receiver, the product can directly trigger notification workflows from received SNMP traps
