DG Technology Builds MEAS Mainframe Extension for AppDynamics X Platform

AppDynamics announced the launch of a new extension on AppDynamics X to give visibility into the Mainframe z/OS platform.

The MEAS Mainframe Monitoring extension, contributed by the consulting firm DG Technology, allows organizations to monitor and manage both their modern applications and mainframe applications in a single pane of glass.

Many organizations today rely on a mix of legacy and modern application components. The MEAS Monitoring extension allows these organizations to monitor and baseline key events and metrics from their mainframe in AppDynamics alongside their modern Java, .NET and PHP applications.

“This partnership with AppDynamics is a game-changer for both our clients and our company,” said Deborah Gannaway, President & CEO at DG Technology. “With this extension, organizations that depend on the z/OS platform will now have the ability to leverage the most innovative, scalable and easy to use application performance management solution to monitor and triage their mainframe applications.”

“This extension will be invaluable to our customers in the government and financial services sectors, and represents a great addition to the AppDynamics platform,” said Jyoti Bansal, Founder and CEO at AppDynamics. “Now these organizations with mainframe components have a modern alternative to the expensive consultants and legacy APM software they’ve had to use to monitor their mainframe applications.”
