GroundWork Releases GroundWork Monitor 6.5

Expanding Network Management and Application Monitoring

GroundWork, the open platform for network, application and cloud monitoring, announced general availability of GroundWork Monitor Enterprise 6.5.

The latest release of GroundWork Monitor provides:

* Expanded network management with pre-built integrations for network traffic analysis (ntop), network discovery (NeDi) and network visualization (Network Weathermap). These integrations are available to all GroundWork Monitor 6.5 users at no additional charge, although they do require downloading additional packages.

* Improved JMX and Java application monitoring via GroundWork’s Java Distributed Monitoring Agent (JDMA), which now includes a wizard to make configuration and deployment quicker and easier.

* Enhanced Windows application and OS monitoring using GroundWork Distributed Monitoring Agents (GDMA), which have been updated with the latest version of WMI scripts, version 1.4. GroundWork Distributed Monitoring Agents and Java Distributed Monitoring Agents are also both available to all GroundWork Monitor 6.5 users at no additional charge.

* New Event Console UI, with improved display, search and categorization, allowing for tighter integration into NOC operations.

“GroundWork Monitor 6.5 expands GroundWork’s commitment to a full enterprise-class system, application, and network monitoring platform for a simple, easy to understand price,” said David Dennis, VP of Marketing, GroundWork. “With a GroundWork Monitor Enterprise subscription, you don’t pay extra for agents, plugins, adapters, extra management servers, or additional functionality – it’s all included.”
