Heroix Releases New User Guides for Longitude V8.1 APM Software

Heroix has created two new online documents to guide customers through installing, configuring and customizing Longitude V8.1 to quickly achieve maximum results right out of the box with no downtime.

The new Longitude Quick Start Guide provides detailed instructions that will take users from downloading Longitude V8.1 through configuring reports and alerts.

The How-To Guide provides details on more advanced configuration features and usage for the Longitude application performance monitoring software.

Longitude V8.1's interface integrates with these guides, providing hover tips with additional detail for most functions, and links to the relevant portion of the guides when additional information may be needed.

The new Quick Start and How-To Guide address common system installation issues and concerns, as well as a step by step walk-through of the entire setup process so users can start using Longitude V8.1 immediately. These two guides anticipate many common customer questions, making the setup process as streamlined as possible.

Longitude can be installed in less than 10 minutes, and for many sites the fast and easy steps provided in the Longitude V8.1 Quick Start Guide will provide all the information needed to configure monitoring in Longitude, and to set up alerts and reports.

While navigation in the Web 2.0 interface is intuitive, monitoring can include application specific prerequisites and configuration options that can be comprehensive. The How-To Guide provides a new, extensive Application guide, linked to the Longitude software, which provides specific version, prerequisite, configuration and troubleshooting details for Longitude's application metrics being monitored out of the box.

Additionally, all versions of Longitude have access to the Longitude Community, providing a forum for any questions or issues not covered by the Longitude Quick Start or How-To Guides.

"These guides make it easier than ever to get Longitude up and running in minutes and allow users to get the most out of the product. Any questions that users may have can typically be answered by going to this online documentation. If the answer isn't there or contained in the forums, users can quickly get an answer to their question by posting in the Longitude community site," said Dick Levin, VP of Development at Heroix.
