Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold 2018 Service Pack 3 Released

Ipswitch released the third update to its WhatsUp Gold 2018 network monitoring product in the form of Service Pack 3, which includes a new Application Performance Monitoring (APM) overlay for enhanced at-a-glance status of monitored applications.

A new APM Device Card allows one-click access to APM dashboards and controls. WhatsUp Gold 2018 SP 3 also includes an OpsGenie incident creation action feature, which adds support for the modern incident management platform for operating always-on services.

“With increasingly complex network environments, busy IT teams are continuously looking to easily view key metrics and the overall health of network dependencies, wireless networks, virtual environments, cloud resources and interface utilization, and then obtain the specifics for troubleshooting and assuring the fastest time to problem resolution,” said Jim Cashman, Director of Product Management at Ipswitch. “Ipswitch has improved on these requirements with WhatsUp Gold 2018 SP 3, delivering increased usability, control and visibility into the status and performance of networks with new powerful map overlays and controls.”

WhatsUp Gold 2018 SP 3 also adds a new Device Card showing Network Traffic Analysis (NTA) data, including top five conversations as well as allowing one-click access to NTA dashboards. In addition, IT teams now have more control over assigning active interface monitors to every device during discovery. As well, the Device Group Mini Status report has been redesigned for improved usability. This latest release also includes support for Cisco Meraki Firewalls and Cisco Meraki Security Appliances as well as the ability to run executables directly from within the Admin Console.

WhatsUp Gold 2018 delivers automatic discovery of your networked environment and displays your entire physical, virtual and cloud environment in a unique interactive map to enable truly proactive end-to-end performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Unlike competing products, there is no need to learn different tools to gain insights into the various components of your environment.

All updates are available as free upgrades from the Ipswitch Community for all customers with an active service agreement.
