Logentries announced a new integration with CoreOS, a Linux distribution and suite of technologies providing web-scale infrastructure. The new integration enables CoreOS users to very easily send logs using the Journal logging system, part of CoreOS’ Systemd process manager, directly into Logentries for real-time monitoring, alerting, and data visualization.
As more and more IT and DevOps teams turn to micro-service architectures and highly distributed systems, logging becomes an even more critical requirement to provide visibility into system behavior, including application and operating system performance, error conditions and security anomalies. The CoreOS and Logentries integration enables users to easily centralize log data from across their infrastructure into one cloud-based location where they can aggregate, correlate and visualize data for deeper understanding of their CoreOS environments. The integration takes advantage of key CoreOS components for easy integration in clustered environments and massive server environments.
“Logentries and CoreOS is a great solution for companies that want aggregated logging across their entire infrastructure,” said Alex Polvi, CEO of CoreOS. “Logentries is now the log management and analytics company that provides the most centralized insight into your distributed systems logs.”
“The Logentries and CoreOS integration is very easy to use and scales for log collection from very small containerized systems to massive warehouse scale environments,” said Trevor Parsons, Chief Scientist and Co-Founder at Logentries. “CoreOS’ distributed process manager provides an elegant approach to easy logging across clusters of servers.”
