Logentries announced a new referral program that allows any Logentries user to get up to 25GBs of free data for real-time log collection and analysis.

The Logentries Referral Program offers 5 free GBs of data processing for each referral that sign-ups for a Logentries account and starts sending log data.

The new program extends the current Logentries Free service to include more free data than any other log management and analytics service, in addition many other popular features:

- 5GB of log data per month (included in all free accounts)

- 7-day retention

- Unlimited Search

- Unlimited Hosts & Sources

- Unlimited Log Parsing

- Open API

- Unlimited Log Aggregation

- Unlimited Users

- +5 Free GB/month per Referral

The Logentries Referral Program encourages existing members of the 35,000+ Community to introduce the service to friends and colleagues who need deeper, log-level visibility into production monitoring, troubleshooting and diagnostics, security and compliance, or application usage analytics. The Logentries user simply provides a referral’s business email address, submitted via the Logentries service; when the referral signs-up for his or her own account, and sends log data into Logentries, the referrer automatically receives an additional 5 free GB (up to 20 additional GBs).

“Friends don’t let friends dig through data,” said Trevor Parsons, Chief Scientist and Co-founder, Logentries. “We want to reward our users who are excited to share the Logentries service with friends and colleagues and help make their jobs a little easier. The Referral Program is also a great way for users to increase the amount of data they are collecting and analyzing, without spending more.”

The cloud-based Logentries service collects and pre-processes log events in real-time for on-demand analysis, alerting and visualization. With custom tagging and filtering, users can correlate data across their infrastructure to better understand application usage and performance, security and performance issues, and user behavior.
