NetScout Joins the HIMSS Innovation Center

NetScout Systems joined the HIMSS Innovation Center in Cleveland, Ohio, as a new Industry-level Collaborator demonstrating its impact and value to health IT professionals. The first of its kind, this year-round facility fosters collaborative testing and demonstration of how state-of-the-art interoperable systems improve the quality and efficiency of care for patients and communities.

"As the market leader in service assurance to the healthcare marketplace, NetScout is extremely excited about this collaboration with HIMSS and the Global Center of Health Innovation," says Tom Raimondi Jr., VP, Enterprise Business Operations, NetScout Systems. "The HIMSS Innovation Center is the only location in the world where vendors can validate – with other industry vendors – how their health IT solutions simply and seamlessly integrate and operate with emerging technology; and we are thrilled to join a community where all visitors can experience interactive education about innovation, current health IT initiatives and the importance of health IT.”

“Leveraging the patented Adaptive Service Intelligence™ (ASI) technology and the advanced analytics of network traffic data provided by the nGeniusONE® Service Assurance solution, NetScout is helping healthcare organizations to manage, monitor and triage mission critical applications and services including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communications services (PACs),” added Raimondi.

The HIMSS Innovation Center is a permanent exhibition of interoperability where healthcare providers, payers and consumers can demonstrate secure exchange of patient health information. As an Industry-level Collaborator, NetScout joins an elite team of innovators collaborating and facilitating health information exchange, working together to lead the advancement of health information management by optimizing the use of technology.

The NetScout mission is to ensure the delivery of exceptional services and is teamed with the highest caliber of healthcare IT professionals in the market. Visitors to the HIMSS Innovation Center can take part in an interactive learning experience where they can simulate clinical scenarios about how health information technologies can improve patient care.

“The HIMSS Innovation Center brings together industry organizations that understand and advance the value of health IT through their respective products and services. Now, as an Industry-level Collaborator, NetScout brings its network data analytics expertise to the HIMSS Innovation Center and the Technology Showcase to improve health with IT so that patients receive consistent, quality care,” said Joyce Sensmeier, MS, RN-BC, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, FAAN, VP, Informatics, HIMSS North America.

The HIMSS Innovation Center is a completely neutral environment, where all stakeholders converge. Healthcare vendors receive global visibility as their technologies collaborate to elevate the quality and efficiency of care for patients and their communities, and make care better, safer, more cost effective and accessible to all.

The HIMSS Innovation Center opened in October 2013 as part of the Global Center for Health Innovation. As the only physical and virtual, state-of-the-art, testing, exhibition and conference facility that displays the future of health and healthcare is adjacent to the Cleveland Convention Center, a premier location that attracts healthcare providers year-round.
