Visual Network Systems Integrates with IBM Tivoli Netcool

Visual Performance Manage Achieves Ready for IBM Tivoli Software Certification

Visual Network Systems' Visual Performance Manager has been validated as ‘Ready for IBM Tivoli’ software. Visual Performance Manager is now seamlessly connected to Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, allowing customers to quickly identify business level impact of application performance issues across the enterprise and provide optimized workflow for quick problem resolution.

“The integration of Visual Performance Manager with Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus provides enriched event reporting that helps customers quickly identify the business impact. The launch-in-context capability right from the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus console allows you to deep dive into the issue and quickly troubleshoot, thus reducing MTTR and increasing ROI,” says Manoj Khabe, CTO and Vice President of Strategy, i3 Software, a business partner of both IBM and Visual Network Systems. “The pre-built integration package is simple to install and the process can be completed in hours instead of days.”

Visual Performance Manager is a unified system that provides enterprise service intelligence to help organizations correlate client performance with application server metrics, better utilize IT resources to support users, identify root cause, problem domain and performance variables for end-to-end performance management. The combination of Visual Performance Manager’s comprehensive service visibility and Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus’ real-time service management streamlines the process of identifying, analyzing and resolving application performance issues.

With the integration, Visual Performance Manager provides Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus detailed alerts to aid in understanding the business impact and speed problem solving. New details in these alerts include application name, the event that generated the alert and the site that has been impacted.
