Oliver Cole, President of OC Systems, has joined the APMdigest Vendor Forum.
Cole has more than 25 years of extensive, hands-on experience in developing, testing and performance tuning large-scale mission-critical software for a variety of organizations, including commercial and international interests.
Before founding OC Systems, he worked on a number of high reliability real-time systems for the US military.
Oliver Cole is actively involved in the Eclipse open source community. He is the lead of the Test and Performance Tools Platform (TPTP) project. He has also been appointed to the Eclipse Architecture Council, which is responsible for the long-term technical health of the Eclipse platforms and frameworks. He speaks regularly at industry conferences and has had a number of articles published in industry publications, including Dr. Dobb's Journal.
OC Systems is an employee-owned company providing software instrumentation tools, development environments, and consulting services that help organizations gain greater performance management and visibility into their large, complex applications.
Customers include Lockheed Martin, IBM, Northrop Grumman, SAS, Nissan, Nielsen and Delta Airlines. OC Systems APM, RootCause Transaction Instrumentation (RTI), is designed to support Red Hat JBoss Middleware customers.
RTI provides metrics, alerts, profiling and deep dive diagnostics and can be run standalone with JBoss, as an integrated plugin to the JBoss Operations Network (JON) or as an APM cartridge in the cloud.
