Optanix announced the appointment of industry veteran Randy Schirman as Chief Revenue Officer.
This strategic hire comes as the company aggressively executes its sales and channel strategies for the Optanix Platform, which maximizes business service availability through an advanced, highly automated, proactive approach to identifying and resolving critical root cause incidents.
Schirman joins Optanix from Talari Networks, where he was VP of Worldwide Sales.
“We're fortunate to have an industry professional like Randy join our team. Over the years, he has demonstrated his skill and passion in working with leading sales professionals to build some of the most effective channel programs in our industry,” said Robert Kennedy, CEO of Optanix. “We're excited to be attracting top-tier talent as we continue to grow Optanix as the leader in creating the predictable IT outcomes demanded by enterprise IT operators.”
Schirman brings with him 25 years of sales leadership experience within the enterprise software industry. Prior to Talari, he was a valued member of the Riverbed senior leadership team, serving as SVP of Worldwide Channels. Earlier in his career, he held various sales positions with Citadel Security (acquired by McAfee) and at NetScreen Technologies, through its acquisition by Juniper Networks.
“We recognize the ongoing market shift in the employment of technology-as-a-service approaches as the fastest growing and preferred way of delivering and consuming business data,” said Schirman. “Business units and IT organizations are struggling to get their hands fully around the tidal wave of events and data from applications and the service delivery infrastructure those applications rely on. Optanix provides a holistic service predictability strategy through a systematic and highly automated approach to determining the root cause of every real issue impacting the business service. Our ability to supply a comprehensive, proactive approach by alerting business and IT stakeholders of issues before they happen ensures a superior, predictable end user experience.”
