Optanix received ISO 27001 (ISO/IEC 27001:2013) Certification for security within its managed services practice for the third consecutive year.
The ISO 27001 Certification, published by the International Organization for Standardization, is the leading international standard for measuring information security management systems (ISMS). The certification was granted by Schellman & Company, Inc., the global provider of assurance and compliance services.
"At a time when security is top of mind in all industries, achieving the ISO 27001 certification for the third time assures our global customers and channel partners that our Optanix Platform and IT Management-as-a-Service solutions continue to meet the requirements set forth by the ISMS standard," said Jim Firenze, VP of Managed Services, Optanix. "We take pride in safeguarding our customer's business assets, while at the same time providing the best service to help them achieve their strategic goals."
Hundreds of customers with the most demanding security requirements, including 80 percent of the largest global financial institutions, plus the world's top media companies, technology companies and federal government agencies, rely on Optanix's proven IT service availability platform and managed services as trusted solutions for their IT operations needs. Customers are able to experience major improvements in service availability and quality while dramatically lowering their operation costs, all within a highly secure service model. The ISO 27001 Certification involved a detailed independent surveillance review of the Optanix Platform, infrastructure, and IT Management-as-a-Service (ITMaaS) support delivery practices to validate their continued compliance with the ISO certification requirements.
"Optanix has adopted a well-rounded information security governance program based on international security framework, ISO 27001," said Jay Imszennik, CISSP, CISA, CIA, Manager of Schellman & Company. "They continue to demonstrate commitment to meeting the information security and compliance needs of their customers and stakeholders by maintaining their ISO 27001 certificate, completion of an annual Type 2 SOC 1 report, and attestation examination report against requirements from HIPAA-HITECH."
