Optanix Releases Version 5.4 and Mobile App for iOS and Android

Optanix released a mobile app for the Optanix Platform.

Available for iOS and Android smart devices, the app harnesses the power of the Optanix Platform and the new capabilities of release 5.4, which became generally available today. In addition to the new mobile app, release 5.4 adds significant performance and usability enhancements, security updates and new features to the Optanix Platform.

Kelly Ronan, Optanix Senior VP, Product Management, said: “IT teams are frequently mobile during and after the workday, and the app provides them with anytime, anywhere visibility into their IT infrastructure and performance. It enables them to see the whole picture, to focus on what matters, and to actively remediate issues while on the go, ensuring a predictable IT service delivery infrastructure with positive outcomes.”

The mobile app brings the management capabilities of the Optanix Platform to smart devices, providing untethered, on-the-go visibility into IT service levels and incidents in a safe and secure environment.

Users and administrators can conveniently open, update, monitor and search cases, as well as receive notifications, just as desktop users do.

The app features key functions of the Optanix Platform, including the Case List, Incident Dashboard, Device List and Status Table. Other features of the app include voice recognition and text to speech capabilities to support hands-free usage.

The mobile app enables the following:

- More timely response and management of issues – thereby reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and business impact

- Increased visibility to the status of environments supported by Optanix ITMaaS, and the efforts that the Optanix Support Center is taking to maintain the network

- Efficient and reliable delivery of remote support in and out of normal business hours

- Improved collaboration and organizational responsiveness to minimize service impact

Optanix Platform Release 5.4 provides enhancements that enable user and administrator efficiency. Highlights include:

- Support for the Optanix Mobile App

- A redesign of the platform’s performance management capabilities for improved efficiency and expanded scalability

- A GUI-based tool that ingests Cisco Unified Contact Center ICM scripts, and makes them available for users to view and navigate

- An operating system upgrade that enables new security features and functionality
