Shunra Software announced new features to its Shunra NV for HP Software, providing greater mobile testing capabilities and dramatically improve ease of use.

Shunra NV for HP Software is a HP-certified solution specifically designed to accelerate and optimize application performance testing across WAN, web, mobile and Cloud networks.

Shunra NV for HP Software integrates seamlessly into HP LoadRunner and Performance Center, enhancing the accuracy of testing by incorporating real-world network conditions into the load and performance test environment.

Shunra NV for HP Software version 8.6 supports both HP LoadRunner and Performance Center 11.5 service pack 2.

Shunra NV for HP Software includes the following enhancements:

- Global Library Integration: Shunra’s global library of mobile and broadband network conditions is now directly accessible from within LoadRunner and Performance Center. This makes it easier and faster to incorporate production network conditions into the test environment.

- Multi-location emulation on a single Load Generator: Increased location density enables up to 100 different networks/location emulations on a single Load Generator. This eliminates the need and cost for additional Load Generators. It also improves the ease of configuring multiple networks in complex environments.

- Allocated bandwidth for each user: Available bandwidth can be set for each virtual user in a load test. This is critical for mobile testing where bandwidth availability is dynamic and different for every user.

- Improved user interface: Version 8.6 features several UI and operability enhancements that make test set-up easier, including the ability for users to copy network location definitions between tests instead of recreating the same network for different tests.

“Knowing how user load will affect application performance is an important piece of the testing puzzle,” said Bill Varga, Shunra COO. “However, you can’t test load in a network vacuum. The real-world network conditions experienced by users are constantly variable and greatly affect app performance. Shunra NV for HP Software offers testers the ability to incorporate these production network conditions into their HP testing environments. This enables a more accurate understanding of app performance with easy set-up, integration, and repeatability throughout the testing process.”

Shunra NV for HP Software 8.6 is available now from Shunra Software and from HP through a previously announced reseller partnership.
