Shunra Partners with HP on Mobile App Performance Testing

HP can now directly sell Shunra Network Virtualization to extend HP Performance Center and HP LoadRunner performance testing solutions for mobile applications.

The collaboration will help organizations test apps with real-world network conditions by addressing the challenge of ensuring reliable mobile performance regardless of the network type.

“Businesses that succeed in managing and optimizing network performance in these changing times will have the best combination of network and application visibility and control in their management infrastructure,” said Jim Rapoza, senior research analyst at Aberdeen Group.

Shunra Network Virtualization significantly enhances test accuracy and reliability by incorporating real-world network conditions into the load and performance test environment.

With Shunra’s technology, developers, test engineers, and quality assurance (QA) teams can:

- Reduce or eliminate the need to rely on remote load generators by enabling each load generator in a test environment to emulate a different network location’s transaction response time.

- Aggregate test results into a single database for ease and completeness of location-specific performance analysis.

- Extend testing scripts with a single click.

- Automate reporting and analysis for performance engineers, line of business owners, and other business constituents.
