SolarWinds Adds New Cisco VoIP Monitoring Capabilities

SolarWinds announced enhancements to SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager, a proactive VoIP and WAN performance monitoring and troubleshooting solution, and improved integration with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), a network fault and availability management solution.

SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager gives IT pros at-a-glance insight into all aspects of VoIP and WAN performance, providing them with the capabilities to search and filter call detail records and call management records.

With new VoIP gateway and trunk monitoring, SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager monitors and displays Cisco MGCP VoIP gateway details including PRI trunk utilization. The new feature identifies the top 10 quality issues for all calls in a designated gateway and provides a streamlined view of all trunks, allowing IT pros to view data and VoIP capacity and prioritize capacity for premium VoIP call quality.

In addition, together with the latest version of SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor available later this month, IT pros will gain enhanced visibility into VoIP node details through a deeper integration with SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager. Network performance monitoring is a critical component of every network administrator, and now with VoIP sub-views, IT pros can access VoIP node detail information simply and quickly through the SolarWinds NPM platform.

SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager Highlights:

- Monitors VoIP call Quality of Service (QoS) metrics including jitter, latency, packet loss, and MOS

- Correlates call issues with WAN performance for advanced troubleshooting

- Searches and filters call detail records

- Monitors site-to-site WAN performance using Cisco IP SLA technology

- Automatically discovers Cisco IP SLA-enabled network devices

SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager is available now. The latest version of SolarWinds NPM will be available later this month.
