SolarWinds Invests in AppNeta

AppNeta announced a strategic partnership with SolarWinds.

Through AppNeta’s cloud-based approach to performance management, and through SolarWinds’ investment in AppNeta, the two companies will explore opportunities to meaningfully connect IT infrastructure to application delivery to drive an improvement in the overall performance and value of mission-critical business applications.

“SolarWinds is one of the great companies in IT infrastructure management with over 150,000 loyal customers and a well-respected, award-winning product portfolio,” said Jim Melvin, CEO, AppNeta. “We believe that this investment will benefit both companies’ customers with new, and more robust, Full Stack Application Performance Management.”

The partnership opportunities from this investment will allow the two companies to serve customers in the combined infrastructure and application development markets, delivering further insight into the performance of application from the code to the end user experience.

“We see a number of parallels between SolarWinds’ model for IT infrastructure management software and AppNeta’s leadership in APM 3.0 – purpose-built solutions that are designed to appeal to a highly technical user. In both cases, our companies are helping users to navigate a rapidly-evolving landscape through intuitive technology,” said Kevin Thompson, SolarWinds’ President and CEO. “We are excited about the opportunity to work with AppNeta to explore ways to align our best-of-breed products for managing the performance of both IT infrastructure and applications, to help technology professionals deliver a best-in-class technology experience to their businesses.”
