Viptela and CA Technologies Partner to Provide Comprehensive Monitoring and Optimization for SD-WAN Infrastructures

Viptela announced a technical partnership with CA Technologies to integrate Viptela’s Software Defined-Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) platform with CA Performance Management and CA Virtual Network Assurance.

At CA World 2016 next week, CA and Viptela will provide an exclusive invitation only opportunity for qualified executives to take a sneak peek into CA’s SD-WAN performance monitoring platform. This yet-to-be released solution addresses the WAN challenges all enterprises are facing in moving to the Cloud.

“SD-WAN infrastructure is critical to enabling new Cloud services and this partnership allows our joint customers to seamlessly unify network and health status intelligence from their Viptela SD-WAN platform within a centralized CA-based monitoring and management view,” said Amir Khan, CEO of Viptela. “Together, we are eliminating visibility gaps between traditional network and SD-WAN operational silos to provide administrators with the insights they need to optimize and transform their large hybrid networks.”

The combination of Viptela’s vManage application, which provides centralized configuration, management and a single view for SD-WAN health and performance, with CA Performance Management and CA Virtual Network Assurance enables enterprises to centralize real-time monitoring across their entire network infrastructure to:

- Achieve a single, unified view of both the Viptela SD-WAN and other network devices and applications across their entire digital infrastructure.

- Utilize CA’s experience in operational user interface and workflow for complex SD-WAN layered networks.

- Analyze and correlate the performance of Vipteta SD-WAN application-aware networking and policy based routing to optimize application performance within the CA-based monitoring and management infrastructure.

- Detect, isolate, and address problems in real-time across the entire enterprise network for fast resolution.

“SD-WAN is an important enabling technology for our customers as they continue to move workloads to the Cloud,” said Ali Siddiqui, GM, Agile Operations, CA Technologies. “Viptela’s high performance SD-WAN architecture combined with our next-generation, carrier-class network performance management and SDN solutions provide organizations with a comprehensive monitoring solution for managing the WAN connection to the Cloud.”

The Viptela SD-WAN platform virtualizes WAN infrastructure to allow for fast roll-out across the extended enterprise at a 50 percent lower cost with 10x more bandwidth and 5x higher cloud performance than alternatives. It allows large enterprises to “mix and match” any combination of connections (MPLS, Broadband, Wireless 3G/4G LTE, etc.) and unifies provisioning and management across cloud and data center resources for hundreds or even thousands of sites.
