WildPackets announced the appointment of Larry Zulch as President. Zulch will be responsible for worldwide sales and marketing and will work closely with CEO Tim McCreery on overall company strategy.
Zulch brings over 20 years of senior level executive experience working for technology companies of all sizes, from startups to industry giant EMC. He joins the company at a time when interest in 802.11ac deployment is growing among customers, channel partners, and technology partners.
"With the demand for gigabit WLAN analysis surging as 802.11ac is adopted in the enterprise, and with increasing demand for our products from security incident response teams, this is an opportune time for WildPackets to expand its executive team," said Tim McCreery, WildPackets CEO. "Larry brings a wealth of experience in turning opportunity into business value and is a perfect match for WildPackets at this stage of our development. I look forward to partnering with him."
Zulch joins WildPackets from San Francisco-based SQLstream, a big data streaming analytics software company, where he served as chief strategy and development officer. Prior to SQLstream, he held leadership positions at EMC Corporation, Dantz Development Corporation, acquired by EMC, and Photometics, Inc., a developer of photonics-based cancer therapies.
"A tremendous amount of global business value is conveyed over networks," said WildPackets chairman Mahboud Zabetian, "so insight into their efficient and secure operation is critical. We're delighted to have Larry join us to capitalize on WildPackets' deep expertise in network monitoring and management."
Zulch has served on the boards of directors of several companies: FreeRange Communications (chairman—acquired by Handmark, which was acquired by Sprint), PLC Diagnostics (merged with iNDx Healthcare), Cloud Engines, NeoLogic, and LESCO. He received his BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
