Xangati Product Suite XSR12 Announced

Xangati announced Xangati Product Suite XSR12, a major software release that delivers industry-leading, real-time, high fidelity visibility and rapid triage for the entire client, desktop, compute, networking and storage infrastructure.

XSR12 is designed to ensure a superior user experience for Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop or web-based applications, such as e-commerce, delivered to users’ desktops or mobile devices. With XSR12, Xangati brings its holistic and predictive view of performance management to highly dynamic and elastic cloud environments. Distancing Xangati from providers of competing offerings, XSR12 also integrates fully with infrastructures designed on the FlexPod converged infrastructure, providing native support of Cisco Unified Computing System’s (UCS) Virtual Interface Card and NetApp storage devices.

XSR12 is a comprehensive, highly scalable solution that provides app-aware infrastructure intelligence for an enterprise’s world-wide computing infrastructure of client, desktops, servers, networking and storage on a live and continuous basis. With XSR12, Xangati introduces two new dashboards, the Virtual App Dashboard and the Web App Dashboard, to support Citrix XenApp and web-based applications, respectively. Fully integrated with HDX technologies that provide a native touch-enabled look-and-feel for demanding 3D applications, XSR12 gives performance insights to help deliver the fullest value in any Citrix XenApp deployment.

“Xangati’s support of Citrix XenApp and NetScaler AppFlow in its latest release provides a fully integrated view of application activity and infrastructure performance and helps ensure a consistently great user experience for our joint customers,” said Calvin Hsu, VP of Product Marketing, desktop and applications virtualization group at Citrix. “Together, Citrix and Xangati are enabling our customers to deploy an effective virtual-application delivery solution to mobilize their business operations while simultaneously reducing costs.”

“The newest iteration of Xangati’s XSR12 Intelligence Suite covers even more ground, offering an amazing degree of environmental visibility for Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop administrators. Another key feature is the introduction of support for Cisco UCS products, which offers a powerful new set of troubleshooting tools for UCS admins as well as adopters of FlexPod and Vblock converged systems,” said Steven Hill, senior analyst, Current Analysis.

For e-commerce giants, millions in revenue are at risk from lost sales when performance issues affect a customer’s ability to shop and complete a sale. The XSR12 Web App Dashboard tracks performance metrics in high fidelity for every URL across the infrastructure by integrating with Citrix Netscaler’s Appflow, providing impactful and actionable insight in real-time, while the customer is still fully engaged. Xangati’s patented, highly scalable, distributed, scale-out architecture enables enterprises to track millions of web interactions second-by-second, allowing rapid response to performance issues and sophisticated predicitive analytics to remediate any potential risk of downtime. Xangati XSR12 learns instantly from these interactions and correlates various cross-silo metrics into new performance, availability and relative-capacity indices to assure the best end-user experience.

XSR12 delivers application-aware infrastructure performance management for complex private cloud environments, including environments based on the FlexPod converged architecture, which today accounts for a $3 billion investment by 4,100 companies in over 100 countries. FlexPod consists of NetApp FAS storage and the Cisco UCS with either VMware or Microsoft virtualization technology to provide a proven integrated approach to the cloud. XSR12 protects this stack by adding holistic performance intelligence to the existing traditional corporate infrastructure, while supporting the FlexPod vision that is instrumental in shaping and driving the design of the modern dynamic cloud environment. With its new support of Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines, XSR12 now offers seamless integration with both Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere virtual machines in a common dashboard.

“We are bringing increased application awareness to our solution, so our customers can gain the intelligence needed to effectively manage end-user business productivity of critical XenApp applications and the end-to-end user experience of web applications that drive revenue in the mobile world,” said S. “Sundi” Sundaresh, CEO of Xangati. “With XSR12, enterprises can now manage their increasingly complex data center and cloud infrastructure with confidence, empowered with a single, continuous view into their infrastructure performance to provide essential insight into how application service levels are affected.

New functionality in the XSR12 release includes:

- Virtual App Dashboard with full Citrix XenApp and NetScaler AppFlow support with full integration with HDX technologies

- Web App Dashboard to track web services for e-commerce, gaming and other mission-critical applications

- FlexPod Support with integration with Cisco UCS servers and NetApp storage devices

- Multi-Hypervisor Support offering seamless integration with both Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere virtual machines

- Enhanced VDI, VI and other dashboards with new performance, availability and relative-capacity indices

XSR12 will be released at the end of September 2014.
