Alloy Software announced the immediate availability of Alloy Navigator Enterprise version 8.

This major upgrade offers numerous new features and improvements based on direct feedback from our customers.

Here is a list of some of the changes in the new release:

- Communicate with Style: Generate eye-catching, professional looking communications by leveraging a collection of new HTML tools aimed at helping you communicate with style and efficiency. Rich-text formatting and inline image support provide you with the ability to more thoroughly document issues, effectively document solutions, and ensure your users and team members are always on the same page.

- Track your Chromebooks: Alloy Navigator 8 leverages Google API to extract Chromebook data and incorporate it throughout Alloy Navigator’s workflow. Now you can collect and report on inventory data, and perform system management tasks on Chrome devices. This integration provides you with conveniently consolidated view of your entire Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebook computers, as well as mobile and other networked devices providing even more comprehensive asset management capabilities.

- Go Mobile with Physical Inventory: The new mobile barcode scanner application for Android phones and tablets provides technicians with the ability to quickly identify assets using barcode tags and perform physical inventory from a mobile device.

- Change your Process on the Fly: Customizing the business logic is now easier that ever! Workflow Parameters can be easily adjusted to change various aspects of your workflow from a single screen.

- Store Passwords Securely: Now you can safely store sensitive data, such as login credentials and account details. This information can remain visible only to the workflow engine while appearing as a series of asterisks on the screen.

Ensure Users are Compliant: Version 8 adds the ability to manage and track compliance for named user licenses. This license type indicates that the corresponding software product can be installed on multiple systems and the license remains compliant as long as only the specific person uses the software.

- Quick Report from the Web: Now Web Portal users can export data from grid views into various formats, such as CSV, RTF, Excel, and PDF.

Give your Self Service Portal a Makeover: Customizing the look-and-feel of the Self Service Portal is now super easy thanks to LESS. The dynamic nature of LESS helps applying colors quickly and consistently with stylesheet variables.
