Era Software announced the general availability of EraCloud, a software as a service (SaaS)-based offering that includes the EraSearch observability and analytics platform optimized for real-time, low-cost log management.

In addition to EraSearch, EraCloud features administrative functions that help organizations move from logs to insights in seconds, without operational complexity.

“Our vision for EraCloud is to provide organizations with a one-stop solution for all its logging needs,” says Todd Persen, Co-Founder and CEO of Era Software. “As EraCloud evolves, modern IT teams will be able to ingest log data in any format, eliminating the need for pre-processing data or building and managing pipeline stages. It will help remove ingest delays, while continuing to make data available in real time for searching. Our goal is to help IT teams remove operational burden and empower them to focus on contributing to their core business.”

Era Software is also announcing the availability of EraCloud through AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog to find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). Enterprises now can collect, store, and analyze petabyte-scale log data in real-time to unlock new operational and business insights at up to 90% lower cost than alternatives while eliminating complexity.

“... our customers can now deploy EraCloud directly from AWS Marketplace,” says Todd Persen. “This will enable IT teams to collaborate and innovate faster with unified access to all log data that will improve business outcomes. With fast ingest and query performance on high volume log data, IT teams can make data-driven business and operations decisions and dramatically reduce logging infrastructure costs, all while harnessing the power of AWS. Furthermore, we can deliver this value from EraCloud to AWS customers with a single click and simplified billing.”

“Modern IT teams and customers can now unlock more critical insights even as data volumes continue to grow exponentially. They can now innovate faster while eliminating operational complexity, maximizing the value of their services from AWS.” said Mona Chadha, Director, AWS Marketplace Category Management at AWS.

Existing tools, developed on legacy architectures built for the pre-cloud era, cannot handle the exponentially growing volumes of data. To manage and scale these tools, organizations need to either employ an army of engineers, pay an extremely high price tag, or both. Enterprises are often forced to make hard architectural decisions by choosing what data to collect, creating critical visibility gaps. As a result, organizations get overwhelmed, often lack a holistic strategy for managing logs, and end up with data silos and complexity — all of which hinders observability leading to negative business impact and are stuck with an astronomical total cost of ownership (TCO).

EraCloud offers administrative functions which allow users to ascertain insights quickly from logs. EraCloud collects, indexes, and analyzes log data from cloud applications, Kubernetes, and infrastructures, enabling DevOps teams to deliver cloud services faster while achieving significant cost savings. With EraCloud featuring EraSearch, enterprises can provision EraSearch clusters in minutes and monitor billing.

Era Software is also announcing a new intuitive EraSearch user interface (UI) that enables engineering teams to troubleshoot, iterate, and isolate issues across the enterprise quickly. The new UI also allows Era Software’s customers to create custom actionable alerts and proactively eliminate incidents.
