Instana has successfully achieved SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance for its organization and SaaS APM solution.
In 2019, Instana achieved SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance. Building upon that, the company enhanced the scope of its certification by not only auditing the design, but also the maturity level of its security and data privacy related controls, reaching SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance.
Instana’s SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance highlights that Instana’s security controls are appropriately designed, implemented, and maintained, and reaffirms the company’s dedication to maintaining the highest level of security and data compliance.
“Security and privacy continue to be important issues for SaaS solution providers,” said Chris Farrell, Instana Technical Director and APM Strategist. “Our SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance is another confirmation of Instana’s continued effort to build an effective and appropriate control set to protect the data of all our users and customers.”
Instana’s SOC 2 Compliance confirms that an independent third-party full review of the organization’s security has been verified as meeting the needed design of controls regarding availability, processing integrity, and confidentiality of the service for both product and corporate security. It additionally brings the assurance that security controls are being implemented and lived through the company.
For customers that have internal SOC 2 Type 2 requirements, Instana’s SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance status meets the requirements of security teams to meet certification programs and third-party assessments. This is critical as companies are increasingly embracing SaaS across IT Operations and mandate SOC 2 prior to deploying any SaaS solution.
