Instana Launches Mobile End User Monitoring Beta Program

Instana announced a new Beta program for End User Monitoring of Mobile Applications.

The new mobile EUM capabilities center on problem identification and resolution.

“Mobile App providers focus on the mobile experience, including the nuances of performance at the point of access,” said Chris Farrell, Instana Technical Director and APM Strategist. “Extending Instana’s End User Monitoring to include Mobile Apps helps application owners optimize every aspect of their application performance.”

Instana’s End User Monitoring is included with the company’s APM solutions for no additional charge, providing client level details and traces from the browser (and now the App) making requests. Since the solution captures every single request, troubleshooting unique customer issues is easier.

Instana is designed specifically to handle the challenges associated with cloud-native, microservice and containerized applications. The solution is also able to automate visibility into Kubernetes-orchestrated application environments.

Instana fully automates the entire lifecycle of application monitoring including application discovery and mapping, monitoring sensor and agent deployment, and application infrastructure health monitoring. Whenever an application or infrastructure change occurs within dynamic applications, Instana recognizes the change in real time, instantly adjusting its application service maps, monitoring thresholds and health dashboards.

The closed Beta program is available to individuals responsible for Mobile Apps that want to understand their application’s makeup, identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
