Uptime Software, a provider of IT systems management performance and availability software for midmarket and enterprise organizations, has introduced The Grid — a community-driven site where up.time users can review and share custom up.time product enhancements and modifications.

The Grid is a free-of-charge portal linked from the uptime software Web and support sites where clients can retrieve, rate, comment on and share plug-ins -- a truly collaborative mind-share to maximize the customer experience of the award-winning up.time infrastructure management software.

A recent uptime software client survey revealed that more than one third of its customer base leverage up.time’s flexible architecture to create custom product enhancements such as new plug-in monitors, unique modifications and other product additions. Many of those clients expressed an enthusiastic desire to share and trade their product modifications with other up.time users. Now with The Grid, customers can share these “custom product modifications” with each other in a true collaborative community forum.

“Who knows our product better than our customers?” asked Alex Bewley, CTO of uptime software. “Our customers know what capabilities and add-ons are required for their environment, and we listen and deliver. In addition, we encourage our customers to embrace the idea of being an extension to our product development team and to build on up.time’s flexible platform to squeeze more performance from their product investment. The Grid allows our users to share their ‘in the trenches’ product knowledge and even trade actual product add-on functionality.”
