Getting the Most Out of Your APMdigest Sponsorship

Your APMdigest sponsorship offers you many opportunities to promote your company, products, webinars, white papers and just about everything else, beyond your ads on APMdigest.com and in the bi-monthly emails.

If you currently sponsor APMdigest, check out these tips to make sure you are getting the most out of your sponsorship.

Be Proactive

The success of your sponsorship depends on being proactive about the multiple opportunities listed on this page. In addition to banner ads, there are many different ways to drive traffic to your site, and the more sponsorship benefits you take advantage of, the greater the results.

Send Content and Assets in the Morning

If you have time-sensitive content or assets — like a webinar that is coming up soon, or a blog that should be posted right away — it is best to send first thing in the morning, USA Pacific Time. You will always get a faster response that way.

Use Multiple Ads for different offers

If you are a Gold or Platinum sponsor, you get multiple ads with your sponsorship. APMdigest recommends using these ads for different offers. For example, when sponsors use their Gold and Silver ads to promote the same offer, the Silver ad will always get significantly less clicks. If you use your Gold and Silver ads for different offers, you are likely to get more clicks.

Change Your Ads

As a sponsor, you are allowed to change ads — either graphics, links or both — as often as you wish. You can change your ads to promote upcoming webinars, new product releases, white papers, basically anything you want. APMdigest recommends testing out different ad offers to see what performs the best. To change your ad, simply email Pete Goldin.

Promote Your Webinars

As an APMdigest sponsor, you are able to promote your webinars in multiple ways. First, a direct link to your webinar can be posted on the Webinars page, accessible via the "Webinar" tab on the top nav bar.

Second, links to all upcoming scheduled webinars and the most recent 20 on-demand webinars are included in the left column of every page on APMdigest.com (except for any special pages that are reserved for a single sponsor).

Webinar links are taken down when the webinar is over, unless the Webinar is available on-demand. Then the link is displayed on the Webinars page for one year, or until the sponsorship ends, whichever is sooner.

If your scheduled webinar becomes an on-demand webinar, and the link changes, be sure to provide APMdigest with the updated link.

Third, a direct link to your webinar can also be included in one of APMdigest's bi-monthly mailings.

Fourth, you can promote webinars by including links in blogs from your thought leaders and news from your company.

Gold Sponsors can post up to 8 webinars per month. Silver Sponsors can post up to 4 webinars per month .

Promote Your Videos

APMdigest hosts pages for short videos, under 5 minutes, from Youtube. If you want to post a longer video, APMdigest will post it under "On-Demand Webinars."

Video links can be found on the home page in the right column, and on the videos page.

Promote Your White Papers, eBooks and Reports

You can promote your white papers, eBooks and reports on the site and in the emails. A direct link to your white paper is posted on the White Papers page, accessible via the "Papers" tab on the top nav bar.

White papers, eBooks and reports stay on the site for one year, or until the sponsorship ends, whichever is sooner.

The most recent 20 white papers are also included in the White Papers list in the left column of every page on APMdigest.com (except for any special pages that are reserved for a single sponsor).

A direct link to your white paper can also be included in one of APMdigest's bi-monthly mailings.

You can also promote white papers, eBooks and reports by posting a blog about the report findings on APMdigest. Within the blog, you can include hyperlinks and clickable images that link to the content registration page.

Gold Sponsors can post up to 8 white papers per month. Silver Sponsors can post up to 4 white papers per month .

Promote Your Complimentary Analyst Reports

If you have engaged with an analyst firm to distribute their report, you can post the report on APMdigest. A direct link to your analyst report is posted on the Analyst Reports page, accessible via the "Reports" tab on the top nav bar.

Links to all analyst reports are also included in the list in the left column of every page on APMdigest.com (except for any special pages that are reserved for a single sponsor).

A direct link to your analyst report can also be included in one of APMdigest's bi-monthly mailings.

All sponsors can post an unlimited number of analyst reports.

Promote Your Free Tools and Free Trials

Your free tools and free trials can be promoted with direct links on the Free Tools page, accessible via the "Tools" tab on the top nav bar.

You also have the option to create a custom button for each tool on the list.

Promote Anything via Vendor Forum Blogs

APMdigest sponsorship enables you to promote anything you like in the APMdigest Vendor Forum. The body copy of the blog must be objective, non-promotional and vendor-neutral — see our Vendor Forum guidelines for more details about blog content requirements — but you can include any hyperlinks you like within the text of the blog, and links to anything you like at the end of the blog.

APMdigest recommends that you write a general blog on a topic that relates to the subject you want to promote, and choose key words within the text to hyperlink to your promotional web pages. You can also include the corresponding link to your promotional page at the end of the blog. If you submit two blogs per month, you could have a link included in every one of our bi-monthly mailings. Ideally you would submit at least one blog per month to take advantage of this extra exposure.

Only APMdigest sponsors can include promotional hyperlinks and links at the end of their Vendor Forum blogs. While any company in APM or related markets is allowed to open one Vendor Forum blogging account at no cost, companies that do not sponsor APMdigest can only include a link to their home page at the end of a blog. They are not allowed to include any other links.

So this is a unique opportunity for APMdigest sponsors to reach thousands of site visitors every month.

Use Graphics to Promote Anything via Vendor Forum Blogs

You can also use graphics as links within or at the end of your blogs. This is a great way to grab the reader's attention.

During your sponsorship, APMdigest includes your current ad at the end of the blog, to give your ad even more exposure. However, you can choose to use a previous ad in the blog, if it is still viable. You could even create special graphics for the links you want included at the end of your blog.

For example, check out this blog that utilizes a graphic at the end to promote the author's book. .

Simply send the graphic with the blog to the editor, similar to how you send a new ad graphic when you are changing your ad. If the ad has already posted on APMdigest, you do not need to send the graphic, since it is already in the system. Just let APMdigest know which previous ad graphic you want to use and the corresponding URL.

Re-Purpose Your Webinars, Presentations and White Papers as Blogs

The non-promotional educational content from your webinars, presentations and white papers are ideal blog content for APMdigest.

Open Multiple Vendor Forum Blogging Accounts

As a sponsor of APMdigest, you are eligible to open multiple blogging accounts, so different voices and thought leaders in your company can be heard. Companies that do not sponsor APMdigest are only allowed one blogging account per company.

Thought Leadership is proven to have a positive impact on your business.

During your sponsorship, APMdigest includes your current ad at the end of any news item about your company, to give your ad even more exposure.

Gold sponsors are allowed to post up to 8 URL links, promoting anything, on the sponsor's vendor directory page on the APM Buyers Guide.

Silver sponsors are allowed to post up to 4 URL links, promoting anything, on the sponsor's vendor directory page on the APM Buyers Guide.

Keep Your Links Current

Every click is a potential lead. Make sure APMdigest has your current URL links. For example, if APMdigest is using your APM product home page, and you change the URL for this page, inform APMdigest right away. We use links on our sponsor list, and with your logo in your blogs, for example. If your links change, please make sure APMdigest is aware.

Also reroute your old link to your new link, because APMdigest has legacy links from previous blogs etc.

Also, APMdigest recommends double-checking any links to your site from APMdigest, when they are first posted. Most importantly, check your ad links. In addition check links included at the end of a feature article, blog or news post from or about your company. Also check links included in APMdigest's White Papers, Webinars and Free Tools lists. APMdigest strives to ensure that links are good, but it is always prudent for the sponsor to double-check these links themselves.

Utilize Your Own Analytics

If you utilize your own analytics, by providing APMdigest with special links you can track through your own system, you will get a more accurate click count. APMdigest's ad system currently does count clicks and impressions on your ads, but APMdigest cannot track clicks on any links at the end of blogs or news; any links on assets such as white papers, webinars, free tools; any links, such as featured products or case studies, on the APM Buyers Guide.
