NetScout Supports Session Initiation Protocol Trunking Services

NETSCOUT SYSTEMS announced support for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking services, a high-value unified communications (UC) initiative being deployed by enterprises all over the world.

The nGeniusONE Service Assurance platform with Adaptive Service Intelligence (ASI) technology offers insights into SIP-based services, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and video simultaneously with business data services. NETSCOUT’s customers are using the refined capabilities of the nGeniusONE platform to minimize the time necessary to pinpoint the root cause of impairments impacting the performance of their SIP trunk-enabled services.

Organizations migrating from legacy voice technologies (TDM) to SIP trunking expect to reap the benefits of lower costs and increased flexibility for delivering VoIP and other SIP-based services across the Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) network. They also expect the quality of their business interactions with customers, partners and employees over SIP trunks to equal or exceed that of their legacy equipment. If user experience suffers as a result of a bad connection, a dropped call or some other impairment, IT staff needs a way to quickly pinpoint the source and restore the service to excellence.
