Numara Software Appoints IT Industry Veteran Dave Hansen as CEO

Former CA Technologies executive to lead aggressive growth plans and product development

Numara Software announced that highly regarded IT Operations Management industry leader Dave Hansen has joined the company as CEO and board member.

Hansen comes to Numara with a successful track record of managing and creating IT enterprise solutions. He is best known for his role at CA Technologies spearheading IT strategy and application development across a variety of markets. With more than 20 years of professional experience leading large IT organizations, Hansen’s proven track record combined with his execution skills have been instrumental in driving shareholder value.

“Numara is in a unique position to expand its leadership in the development of IT management solutions for small, medium and large enterprises,” says Hansen. “As its thousands of customers worldwide can attest, Numara’s intuitive approach is helping transform IT departments from complex and inflexible organizations to fully integrated business units focused on reducing costs and increasing productivity. I’m excited to lead the company as we take this phenomenal platform and expand its core product capabilities to deliver a wider portfolio of solutions to the market.”

Prior to joining Numara, Hansen held several general manager and senior vice president positions at CA Technologies. Most recently, he was responsible for managing the creation and development of a portfolio of cloud products and enterprise solutions that helped large enterprises seamlessly manage the business of IT across distributed, virtualized and cloud-connected environments. Hansen previously led the Security Business Unit and also served as CA’s chief information officer, where he developed a reputation as the company’s best and toughest customer. As CIO he was tasked with implementing the company’s global IT strategy, applications development and IT compliance as well as managing the global CA infrastructure.

Hansen begins his new duties on August 1, and also joins Numara's board. He succeeds David Weiss, who after nine successful years leading Numara has decided to pursue other business ventures and charitable activities.
