Savision launched the newest release of Live Maps Unity, the company's flagship solution that transforms Microsoft System Center into a plug-and-play Business Service Management solution.

Enhancements in this release include:

- Dependent Services: Savision extended service model to show the dependencies between applications and core services with a new feature called Dependent Services. Core IT services such as DNS, Active Directory and SharePoint provide the foundation on which business critical applications and services are built. With Live Map Unity’s dependent services feature, you can express these relationships quickly and easily. Modelling the connections between your services allows you to see at a glance whether availability and performance problems are application specific or whether they are a result of issues with your service fabric. Comprehensive service modelling allows you to drill down from problem to root cause in only a few clicks, and to prioritize your response based on business and customer impact.

- Out-of-Box Services: An understanding of application architecture – both physical and logical – is critical to the diagnosis of performance and availability issues. Live Maps Unity comes with out of the box service models built using the most recent information available from Microsoft and subject-matter experts. Within this release, we have added Lync to the list of applications that Live Maps Unity discovers with one click. Live Maps Unity will discover the deployments of applications like Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory and will provide deep and insightful diagrams that make troubleshooting service issues a breeze.

- All Mobile Device Groups Automatically Created: A nice new feature for the users of our mobile application is the creation of a mobile device users security group within SCOM. This makes it much easier to quickly specify which Live Maps are visible to the users of the mobile application. The new features and enhancements are available starting today to new and existing customers.
