ManageEngine announced the beta version of a new Fluidic web client for its network operations utilities software, OpUtils.

The new web client is built on APIs and the JavaScript model-view-controller (MVC) platform called Ember.js to help admins troubleshoot IT issues faster. The new client also includes a WMI query tool to execute WMI queries on remote Windows servers.

ManageEngine is demonstrating the new web client of OpUtils at Cisco Live 2015, being held March 17-20, 2015, at the Melbourne Convention Center in Melbourne, Australia. An exhibitor sponsor of the event, ManageEngine is in booth 44.

The new Fluidic web client lets users quickly navigate across various tools in OpUtils. Compared to the previous OpUtils web client, the Fluidic client loads 10 times faster. The Fluidic client also supports keyboard shortcuts to save even more time for users who can now open a required web page or tool directly rather than navigate via multiple mouse clicks.

"Mobile phones and tablets have redefined the user experience, and people expect similar refinements in IT management products," said Dev Anand, Director of Product Management at ManageEngine. “Last year, we streamlined and accelerated our network management solution with the Fluidic web client. Now, we’re bringing the Fluidic’s speed and simplicity to OpUtils."

OpUtils packs various tools that help IT admins to manage and troubleshoot network issues. With OpUtils, admins can manage IP addresses and switch ports, detect rogue devices, monitor bandwidth via SNMP, back up Cisco configuration files, and monitor DHCP scope. All these functions will now be available in the new Fluidic web client.

The new Fluidic web client for OpUtils is available to customers as a beta download.
