Catchpoint Systems announced the appointment of marketing veteran Yancy Oshita as its first Chief Marketing Officer, and long-time industry analyst Dennis Callaghan as Director of Industry Innovation. These strategic hires will expand Catchpoint’s global go-to-market efforts to accelerate the company’s growth plans.

Yancy Oshita has over 25 years of software marketing experience at venture-backed and public companies. Previously, Oshita was CMO at Zags, a software provider to the insurance industry. He also has held senior-level marketing and sales positions at AppSense, EducationDynamics, Wimba, Oracle, INFONXX, Teradata, and NCR. Oshita, who will be based in Catchpoint Systems’ New York City headquarters, holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA in management information systems from the University of Dayton.

“In a short timeframe, Catchpoint has delivered innovation and precision that has shaken up the performance monitoring category,” comments Oshita. “Now the company is in a unique position to accelerate its global growth, and I look forward to leading the marketing charge during this critical phase.”

Dennis Callaghan will provide market insights to accelerate the company’s product vision, while expanding its influencer program with industry analysts, thought leaders and early adopters. Callaghan was previously an analyst at 451 Research for ten years, where he was recognized as an expert in IT performance monitoring and management. Callaghan has also held numerous editorial positions at leading IT trade publications, including eWeek. Callaghan will also work in Catchpoint’s New York City headquarters.

“My work over the last decade has made me quite aware of the pain points organizations face in monitoring and managing the performance of their Internet assets,” says Callaghan. “With great products and an industry-leading number of monitoring locations, Catchpoint has already made great strides to solve this vexing challenge. I look forward to helping the organization realize the opportunities ahead.”

“Catchpoint Systems is on a fast-growth trajectory, and the additions of Yancy and Dennis will only accelerate that growth,” says Mehdi Daoudi, CEO and Co-Founder of Catchpoint Systems. “Between Yancy’s go-to-market leadership and Dennis’s deep expertise in the performance monitoring and IT operations management space, we are now ready to introduce our next generation of products, plus target new markets and geographies.”
